I CAN’T RESIST THEM
“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.” ~ Lance Armstrong, It’s Not About The Bike – My Journey Back to Life
Even though this quote originated from the now defamed athlete, it has motivated me through:
4 marathons
- Los Angeles, 2003
- Los Angeles, 2004
- Los Angeles, 2006
- Marine Corps, 2013
And 7 going on 54 Colorado “Fourteeners” (my family and I have a goal to climb them all in the next 9 years)
- Mt. Quandray – 14,265
- Mt. Democrat – 14,148′
- Grays Peak – 14,270′
- Torreys Peak – 14,267′
- Mt. Lincoln – 14,295′
- Mt. Cameron – 14,238′
- Mt. Bross – 14,172′
Life lessons learned from the mountains:
- Start early.
- Use your energy efficiently.
- Persevere. There is often something better at the end of some of the most challenging conditions.
- Be prepared.

Hey Debbie! my dream was once to climb the Himalayas but that momentum stopped at Mt. Trishul, post a motorcycle accident! 😦 but the pain never deterred me as music came trekking along! Good show with the website. I like it! 🙂
